Gold Coast Physiotherapy Services
Move better, feel stronger and get back to the things you love
Allied Healthcare to support you
At Balance Physio, we provide personalised, evidence-based Physiotherapy for people who want clear answers and thoughtful care. Formerly known as Gold Coast Sports & Spinal Physio, our clinic has been supporting the Gold Coast community since 2003. Our rebrand to Balance Physio reflects our evolution into a fully integrated allied health clinic, while continuing the same trusted, patient-centred approach we’ve always been known for.
Choosing a Physiotherapist is about trust. You want to feel heard, understood, and confident that your treatment plan is built around your individual needs, rather than a standard template. That’s why every consultation at Balance Physio is one-on-one, focused, and tailored to your goals.
Our caring Physiotherapists have experience working with a wide range of conditions, including musculoskeletal conditions, spinal pain, sports injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, chronic headaches, vestibular issues, lymphoedema and everyday movement concerns. We take the time to assess thoroughly, explain clearly, and design a plan that supports both recovery and long-term movement confidence.
“Consistently rated ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ on Google – our patients’ trust speaks for itself.”

Frequently asked questions
Find answers to common questions about our Physiotherapy services, appointments, and what to expect during your treatment.
What happens in my first Physiotherapy appointment?
Your first appointment includes a detailed discussion about your symptoms, medical history, lifestyle, and goals. Your Physiotherapist will then complete a physical assessment to understand how your body moves and identify contributing factors. After explaining their findings, they’ll outline a personalised treatment plan and may begin hands-on treatment or guided exercises during the same session.
Do I need a GP referral for Physio treatment?
No, you do not need a GP referral to see a Physiotherapist at Balance Physio. However, if you are attending under a Chronic Disease Management Plan (EPC), WorkCover claim, or another compensable scheme, a referral may be required for rebate eligibility.
How long are physio sessions, and how often should I attend?
Session length depends on the type of appointment booked, with initial consultations typically longer to allow for comprehensive assessment. The recommended frequency of visits varies depending on your condition, how long symptoms have been present, and your goals. Your Physiotherapist will discuss a plan with you and review progress regularly.
What should I wear or bring to Physio?
Wear comfortable clothing that allows easy movement and access to the area being treated. For example, shorts for lower limb issues or a loose top for shoulder or neck concerns. Please bring any relevant scans, reports, referral letters (if applicable), and your private health fund card if you intend to claim on the day.
